Hi 6705russell,

I would agree with Simon bilge keel do look a bit large. However your making a good job of the restoring the model.

Are you sure those bilge keels are right? They look very big to me. Might be an idea to find some photos of T45's in dry dock to check. A lot easier to take some off now than when finished I'd say. Otherwise it's a very impressive build! Have you thought of screwing that flightdeck down? I assume the inside of the hull has strip wood around the edges? Screw then fill then paint!
All the best

Yes keels will be cut down at some point, the ones that are on are solid aluminum so need to get it outside in the spring and trim them down, concentrating on the decks upward at the minute, flight deck is solid now, when I took off to re do the epoxy resin was still tacky after a few weeks of being there so it must of been some dodgy stuff, solid now though..

What scale are you after?
1/32nd scale can only find a puma or lynx in that scale

Hi 6705russell

Is the helicopter scale your looking for 1/72 ?  If so Revell and Italeri do the Merlin at 1/72
