National Maritime Museum - some models return
« on: November 01, 2022, 05:56:15 pm »

Some of you will be familiar with the Drachinfel Naval Videos on You Tube which are usually pretty interesting.

He has just posted a new one on the return of modele to the NMM which appears to have had something of a change of heart on its model display policy.

Well worth a look. Skip the promoter plug and start at 1:55.

Yes, I like This channel and his Mark Felton productions channel. Not a word wasted in my opinion. His Trilogy on Pearl Harbour were first class, worth a watch for people who like their capital ships, but also the conditions and efforts taken to salvage most of the ships.

I am pleased to hear that the circle might have turned, and some models are being given an airing for the benefit of visitors. They also cost less* to run than interactive exhibits given the energy price conscious age we are in.

*I presume they are displayed in illuminated cases?
