Maersk Tug
« on: April 12, 2008, 11:08:57 pm »

I thought some of you tug types might appreciate a nice shot of a Maersk tug.  Here's the attached caption as well:

SSG-RINGKØBING. A. P. Møller-Mærsk has sold its last AHTS supply vessel of the L-type to the Dutch operator ITC,  Ijmuiden. The ship is Mærsk Launcher, which will be taken over at the end of April and renamed Bluster. The Bluster will join its two sisterships, which in 2007 were sold to ITC. ITC is a part of the Tschudi Shipping International Group, which also has purchased two large tugs from the Svitzer Group. Mærsk Launcher was delivered from Waterhuizen in 1988 as part of a four ship series, which were the first to be fitted with only one funnel. As replacement, A. P. Møller-Mærsk will shortly take delivery of the first of eight new ships from Aker Group in Norway. It will be named Mærsk Topper, indicating that it will be a T-named series.
