Is anyone contemplating doing a convoy rescue ship? Looks like a great scale subject with a couple of guns on bandstands, lots of boats and carley floats, rescue lines, scrambling nets etc. I don't think I've ever seen one modelled.

Here is the EMPIRE COMFORT it was originally HMS York Castle a castle class frigate

a few of the castle class were converted to rescueships and there is a 1:48th scale
hull avalaible for them

I only asked 'cos Mrs Tobyker got a surplus copy of "Convoy rescue ships 1940-1945" by Arnold Hague from the library. I don't suppose I'll ever build one.....
It's more a history of the type with details of the histories of the ships and the rescues they did but there are some pictures, but not much modelling detail shown. If anyone's interested...

Toward was another rescue ship photo on same site did Heroic work on convoy Ons-154 sunk on the return trip.
