Hi folks,
Can anyone help  to identify the purpose of the racks located port and starboard on these boats (see photo).


Not sure why it should be but I find it easier to build something if I know whats its supposed to do.    Strange ........

My guess would be for the ammo for the bofors,seeing there near the hatch.

Yes ... that was my first thought also, but the rather odd looking mounting has me puzzled.  Looks as though it should pivot ....

Iain,

Are you building a Brave or Perkasa ??? as your photo shows Perkasa.
I looked at my Vosper drawings for BB and they show a pair of 40mm ammo boxes either side of the forward turret. Also as Bluebird has indicated that a ship changes her layout as often as a women changes her skirt.

Zoom in on the photo and you will see what I mean.
