No, but I doubt 315Mhz is a legal licence free UK frequency.

10 mW isn't exactly powerful, either. "A bargepole" and "wouldn't touch it with" spring to mind.

315MHz is one of the international ISM bands for low power radio - AFAIK it is used mostly in the USA. The preferred band for UK and Europe  are 433MHz and 868MHz

10mW is OK for low power radio - RF Solutions suggest a range of up to 250m.

The price though seems a bit too good to be true.

Correct Wombat, 315MHz is not legal for this use in the UK.

Ian

This is more like it, and 433 meg is street-legal over here.

I think this is what Faraday's Cage has in his Vliestroom. Fascinating to watch the crane on that model!

Correct again FLJ  O0.

Ian, I'm using the 4 channel uhf version but having said that I've had no problems with it
and its been 100% reliable (that's done it now  :()
The reason I chose to use one of these units apart from the fact it freed up a few rc channels, was mainly due to the delicate nature of the mechanisms I'm using on the crane and I was worried about glitches / interference from standard rc equipment.
I can recommend Quasar purely as a satisfied customer.
