Hi, is anyone making the anual pilgrimage to Dortmund this year ? , There are now nine of us  from our club (Broomfield) going this year. It is so easey to get to , a one hour flight from Luton and then a fifteen minute taxi ride to the exhibition halls and only a fiver a day to get in.
We have found a great place to eat at night , there is a hotel adjoined to the rear of the exhibition halls and non residents can book the evening buffet for about fifteen quid -eat as much as you like -and we do!!. The only problem is, hotel we stay in also has a buffet breakfast in the morning and were still full up from the night before.

Hi John and Paul,

The Peterborough club will be having a stand, as we have for the past 10 years or so. It will be stand 1026 on the concourse surrounding the boat hall, pop along and say hello.

In case you didn't know there is usually a bus from the airport direct to the exhibition hall when an exhibition is on, 5 euros I think. I don't know how much a taxi costs so it may be cheaper for 4-5 to use a taxi than the bus.

Hi all, I have used the taxi service and it came out at 7 or 8 euros each and very convenient.  My son told me (he's almost German!) that you can choose any taxi in the waiting queue and they have larger ones for upto 6 or 7 adults including baggage.
Not going this year but hope you all enjoy it.  Best bit for me last time was the harbour and trains exhibit.

Van packed and gone earlier today. Will be leaving with other club members early tomorrow (after a club meeting - who planned this?)

Another great, if tiring, show with a lot of Brits attending. The photos show the plan of the show building, all 8 halls are used, and a small bit of the main boat hall which contains the pool.
