MOONRAKER HELP HELP PLEASE
« on: April 29, 2008, 11:03:25 pm »

Hi Folks, I hope the forum can help me get this boat on the water and working too with all functions...............

It is one big boat and has the following fitted

POWER

VENOM 2 X 3000NIMH 7.2V POWER PACKS

RIPMAX 2 X 2000M-AH 14.4V NICAD 12 BATTERY PACK

SPORT POWER PACK 1 X 1600 NICD 7.2V  6 BATTERY PACK

There is fixed to cross member a SPEED CONTROLLER WITH SONIK MARINE 1GA

JETI MODEL SPEED CONTROLLERS
1 X 350 ECO
1 X 600 NAVY WATER COOLED

All hooked up to GRAUPNER SPEED 700 BB TURBO MOTORS.

There is also a DIESEL SOUND CARD fitted and I have just acquired an 8ohm speaker which will hopefully make Moonraker sound awesome as she chugs along before
throwing open the throttle and shifting at a fair rate I guess, judgeing by the motors fitted.

I have attached pics for info and set up and as this is all new to me I would like to have it running so a BASIC DIAGRAM for all connections would be great.
I have a 2.4ghz radio set which is to be used and shows the receiver in situ...............

I have ordered a Battery Charger both Mains and Field to take care of the 12 pack battery set up as they are 14.4v and higher voltage than normal use.

I do appreciate all the forum help and thankyou one and all in advance, once I have had a play with her after getting her running right she will be up for sale ok.

Hi.. Looks well built and finished. Just make sure the intakes on the underside of the hull are adequately covered to prevent garbage being sucked up which could potentially cause you a big headache.. On the battery/motor front, dont be too tempted to uprate the setup as the Jet drives on moonraker aren't known for their robustness.
To see an alternative livery for moonraker go to the gallery on www.kwpmbc.co.uk and take a look. If I can be of further help just let me know.

Regards

Thanks Paul, livery looks great on the site a real eye catcher.
As I aren't really into electric boats I think this one will be sold on so i
can enjoy my steam hobby and burnt fingers.... {-)
