Brushless universal prop shaft joints

Right then what prop joint do you guys use on a brushless motor,simply because when i tried a huco red coupling on a speed boat it snapped instantly,maybee it did not like 20000rpm through it.I have now coupled the motor up directly to the shaft with a st coupling,is this the norm or is there a bomb proof coupling
