Hi out there any body know how much the rnli are charging for plans at the moment I want to sell a set for the arun class but don't know how much to charge any advice would be much appreciated

       I had a letter from them recently and they quoted £6.00 per print.

Most of the plans sold by the RNLI are 1/20th scale, as keith says they usually charge £6 per sheet. So if the Arun set has three sheets then they charge £18, if it has 4 sheets then it's £24.

How many sheets have you for the Arun and is it the 52 or 54 ft boat?

The plans are for the 54 feet general arrangements 1/20
composite lines plan for grp mould 1/12
wheelhouse layout 1/10 hope this helps

The ones you get from the RNLI are now only for a standard 52' boat. I wrote asking for one of the earlier ones (52-10, f/g superstructure) and they  replied that all the earlier boats were prototypes(!) and they no longer supplied them.

I hope that you are intending to make a contribution to the RNLI for the sale of these items.  I would hate to think that you were in competition with such a worthy institution and that someone was going to get a "good deal" at their expense.

I should, perhaps, point out to you that if these drawings were supplied to you by the RNLI then the copyright is theirs; that being the case you cannot legally sell them on to a thrid party unless you have their written permission.

As long as he is not making more copies of them then he is at liberty to sell on the original copy of the plans he bought from the RNLI.

Hi guys thanks for all your replies banjo just for your information I make regular contributions to not only the rnli but also the other worthy sea rescue organisations one being the humber rescue may you sleep well knowing this, liverbird as gruber says these are not copies nor have or will they be copied this will be a genuine sale these plans where acquired many years ago and where not used as these are no longer available what do you think would be a fair price to offer these at with a donation going to the local rnli station any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Dave
