I need to solder some thin pieces of brass sheet and wire. I've previously used electricians solder which already has the flux in the core but, this tends to get messy and leaves flux residue on the brass etc. According to Tim whatshisname on that Supermodels tv programme, you're best avoiding this stuff and get separate solder and flux you can 'paint' on where you want it to make a tidier join.

So, anyone know where I can get solder and separate flux paste ie not the electrician type with flux in it?

PS. After soldering, pickle in citric acid overnight to clean excess flux off.

Flux is Bakers Fluid, can be brushed on.
