Getting ready for Mayhem!
« on: May 11, 2008, 08:47:45 pm »

Quite a few of us enjoying the sunny weather at Wicksteed today.

Range of boats from hovercraft, yachts, fast electrics and a novel twist on the springer theme.

Some photos below.

Are those depth charges on the back, or are they off to a party with some Watney's Party Sevens

Sad and boring...Naw ,thats for them that dont see the point of the one class of imaginative "fun" type of model ever invented. If you dont like the rules just build what you want and miss out a load of laughs.   Want a game of footy with your super-scale destroyer or aircraft carrier ?  I get it all the time with my carrier from some sections of the model boating fraternity......" but it aint realy a model boat" etc etc.   Toes ..you`re barred....you dont have push-knees on that cabin 007 thingy :police:

Isnt it , or wasn`t it, "Watney`s RED Barrel" ?    Points reduced for non-scale detail  Toes....you cant just go making up your own rules you know !

Yes, I noticed the "Laser" yacht as well.

However, what are the nonstandard additions? Red cross at peak and is that a large brown object on board or is she just sailing past a post in the lake?

I have just found another superb lake for sailing my "Laser". We really are blessed with sailing waters here in La Vendee.

There is usually not enough breeze, the pond is too shallow and the weed too long, or its just right but too cold!!
