Hi,

Starting next Monday on Channel 5, at 2100 hours, there is a new six part " fly on the wall " series about HMS Illustrious on her last deployment.  The programme is called Warship.

Should be well worth watching for anyone who likes warships.

Will Rod Stewart be singing over the title sequence again?

From your comment I gather like me you also remember that wonderful series on HMS Ark Royal way back.

Dint suppose you have a copy of it do you.

Is this last deployment as in last ever or, latest deployment?

Sorry. Wish I did...particularly the opening sequence with the Buccaneer. RFA "Lyness" was the accompanying ship and had some of the pilots wives on board who used get the occasional "conjugal" visiting rights. As the wives lived in 2 berth cabins this led to almost embarrassing "waiting" queues in the lounge. All good fun!
