I know what you mean. If it helps any-one it's the forecastle deck
structures or just an out line of what I can't see on the plan or in
any of the books I've got cheers.

hi there

The only reference I have to the Town Class Cruiser, apart from the David MacGregor Plans Book, in there they do HMS Sheffield which is the same style cruiser 0/S/9A profile deck plan & details at 1/16 to the foot  0/S/9B lines plating and detail 1/16 to the foot and 0/S/9C cranes and more boat details at 1/8 foot - these are drawings which were prepared by the late Norman A. Ough and which were owned by the David MacGregor Plans service.

Now, I cannot remember which (is it the Warrior Ships Society or the SS Great Britain Society) who own the rights to these drawings.  As far as I know, they are not prepared to re-issue them just at the moment.   I think we modellers must try and put some pressure on this said Society to speed up the reissue date of these drawings & plans.   They are a great miss to the modelling society and they are a great source of information.

Town Class cruiser HMAS BRISBANE was built in Oz under licence at Cockatoo Dockyard.

Have you thought of going The National Archives of Australia route. http://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/Search.asp     O0

point of view if it has to come from Australia?
