On the sound "master unit" there is an input socket for ancillary audio, does anyone know about, or has used this input?

Is it "mono" or "stereo"  etc etc

Any experience much appreciated..

Hi banjo

There is a 3 pin socket on the side of the unit.
Pin 1 is (-) Common.
Pin 2 is AMP enable (5v+ = amp on)
Pin 3 is Audio in (MONO) . From any line audio source. (MP3 player ect)

Hope this helps

That input is for the slave units to connect to.  The masters contain the engine noises and the slaves contain such ancilliary noises as telegraph bells, whistles, gunfire etc..etc..

I would be very apprehensive about putting any other input into this socket because if you do any damage to the unit there is no longer any support and you will have a useless master on your hands.  I have no idea what output comes from the slave unit but I suspect it is a very low powered signal that the master processes and amplifies.
