Robbe Kort Nozzle
« on: May 27, 2008, 09:08:25 pm »

Hi folks I built a Springer and fitted her with two 50'' Robbe steerable K nozzles one side is now on the fourth one was broken through negligence, the other compleately by accident, the third broke while in use at the lake, it broke clean at the bottom of the short bronze tube going into the hull, it was not hit nor grounded, has anyone else encountered them breaking in this way?

All the best Andrew. :)

Hi not sure on the 50" Kort's but I have had to repair three in the past though I have no idea why they were broken at the skeg on one and the other two were cracks within the Kort.
I think that at least one of the Kort's with a crack was due to dropping the Nedland (that was a fixed type) but as I said I am just not privy to that info.

I hope you mean that the Kort's you have are 50mm  :D

Yes mine are 50mm I'm putting the last one on tonight if it breaks again I will try a small screw through the shaft, I hope it wont come to that. :)
