Hi all,
Not sure if this is in right section. I'm thinking of doing a river class destroyer escort from Canadian navy. Tried DND in Canada but no luck, must be a big military secret now that she is a reef off the vancouver Island Coast.
Anyone know where I can by chance find plans for this ship, as I'm planning a scratch build on her.
I know about the HMCS Whistler and she is more representative of another class.
Any help would be appreciated.

Loyalhanna Dockyard should have Dave Sambrook's plans of HMS Fal and E.N.Wilson drew up HMS  Spey that David MacGregor published. I do lots of fittings at 1/96 for this class. www.johnrhaynes.com

Are you talking about the Mackenzie class DDE? A Canadian St.Laurent class derivative?

If so, I have plans and I know where a 1/72 scale hull is being created.

Robert are you sure you mean River class ?

ww2 River class were frigates of the RAN.

The Canadian HMCS Mackenzie was Mackenzie class DDE as Darren says.

I could possibly be wrong on the word 'river'. There were 4 shis in the squadron te Qu'appelle, the Yukon, th Saskatchewan and Mackenzie.
All built in late 50s early 60s and now all reefs of Vancouver Island.

Even though they were mostly named after Rivers in Canada, they were officially known as the St.Laurent class, Mackenzie class, Restigouche (and later Improved Restigouche) class and finally Annapolis class. Unofficially they were the 'cadillacs' or steamers. All based on the same successful hull design that was very similar to the RN Leanders due to a naval architect that worked on both designs.
