Hi whats the maximum discharge rate for nimh cells a 7.2 3300mha for example

It all depends if they are racing cells or fully balanced cells.
There should be a spec for the cells available by the manufacturer.

The ones I've got from The Component Shop are 35 amp for the 7.2v 3300mAh ones

Decent packs will stand C10 i.e. 10 times their quoted capacity. Some NiCADs could stand much higher than that, but NiCADs are now history.
If the supplier can't or won't tell you then buy elsewhere. You will have no such problem with the supplier DickyD has mentioned.
