MSN Messenger trouble
« on: May 27, 2008, 07:42:05 pm »

MSN messenger have a bug in there system  >>:-(

If like me you recieve a link from a freind with YOUR email address at the end of the link DO NOT OPEN the link and CLOSE the conversation.
Unfortunutly i have opened the link and it has forwarded the bug onto most people in my Messenger list aswell as friends lists.

To solve the problem i have DELETED MSN messenger from my pc followed on with a complete system scan which has come up with nothing so the bug is in MSN messenger itself.
Deleted the MSN messenger program and re-installed it problem solved  O0

Trying to track down the little ratbag with no joy >>:-(
This was sent to me while i was online, then i closed everything down but it still did its thing while i was offline very annoying  >:(

Seems like it has been passed along a very long way as ive given up on tracking who sent it, so i can only say sorry to those who recieved it from myself not knowing it would cause this much hassle and damn right pain in my back side from all the calls yelling at me. :'(

Could very well be Richard, Bob had his computer clock changed to the 80's   :D

best thing to do is delete messenger and all files related to it then install it again from the start solved my problem and cought all the spyware crap that it was trying to let in >>:-(

My clock was reset to 2080 and my firefox wont work.
I have uninstalled the messenger now it wont let me put it back on or access my e'mail.
I have only just managed to get back on the forum as all I was getting before was pop ups and error messages.
I appear to have lost all my contacts.
And I am totally PI**ED OFF.  >>:-( >>:-( >>:-(
Will now go and have another go at it.

Can you nor recover your contacts from a backup? or a CSV (Comma separated values) saved file.

I know this may be like the "I told you so" saying but I learnt the hard way and now I do a regular backup and save CSV file of contacts then zip and save all other docs. at least once a week and keep a set of four, new one then delete oldest.

As I said I got caught once before but with a little luck never again.
I am in no way a computer boffin

I was persuaded to use MSN messenger a few years ago.  I almost immediately found it to be a resource hogging niusance so it was dumped within the week.  No further problems.
