« on: April 12, 2006, 08:25:49 am »

Morning all just wondered if anybody was going to skipsea for the week in May, Price seems to be good compared to Brean Sands ( wonder if there are roofs on the caravans)

Hi Kimbo,

I understand from Jim Worner that it is intended to use the site lake and Carnaby lake weather and weed permitting. However, that was a proposed programme 2 or 3 weeks ago and may have changed.

Well begining to look as if I will need some extra crystals ;D ;D I will be traveling up from Horncastle in Lincs so if the lads from Hull could distract the toll collectors for a few minuets it would help make the cost of traveling just that little more bearable ::) ::)

Hi All,

Can't vouch for Skipsea Lake, but the Carnaby/Bridlington one will be weed free.

Yep same here loaded and unloaded the car three times but seem to have got it all in now problem is no room for me. Local authoritys must have heard about us the toll fee on the bridge went up last week now ?2-70 a crossing. Weather what's the weather got to do with sailing model boats ...............model boaters do it in water and when they can't they can talk about it over a pint. Safe journey to everybody keep the shiny sides up and the greasy side down and lets have a great week

Well I agree with Bob on this one. This is the first year I have been to Skipsea and I found everyone to be most welcoming and helpful.
I heard about this holiday a year ago and the mini ships competition. With the help of Ian Adcock I obtained the Diesel Tug kit and built it and had great fun in the competition, even though I couldn't remember the course!
I also greatly enjoyed the indoor flying, with my Twister Bell 47 helicopter and was pleased to hear they are extending the times next year.
I have also booked again for 2007, but look forward to seeing Bob and others at Brean this September as well.

Roger? ;D
