A few photos of my crash tender at Wicksteed.

It is scratchbuilt from an Aerokits plan - at 1/16th scale.

nice job Pete, you going to the fireboat funday at Branston in Setember? I am trying to sort working monitors for mine, and sourcing figures is a nightmare! Its a back to wood refurb for me due to rotting timber!

In response to both of you.

Thanks for the kind remarks.

The monitors were Graupner (or maybe Robbe - I can't remember) items which I modified to suit the monitors used on the crash tender.

The monitors arrive as a kit - so changing parts is relatively easy.

They are coupled up to a car screenwash pump - connected to a 9.6V battery.

Cheers

No plans to attend at the moment - where is Branston? I'm in the Midlands.

The figures were difficult. I looked at the Tamiya 1/16th kits for possible modification - but in the end struck lucky in the kids toy box. Found some figures of the right size - and with a bit of cutting and replacement of heads got them to the ones on the boat.
