« on: June 03, 2008, 11:01:13 pm »

hello i got a problem . Over the last few years i have been collecting information on the russian ncluer ice breaker arktika with the idea of make a working model of her. In my collection of information i had a video of her and quess what. It got acendently recored over  >:( >>:-( :( :'(. I have tryed to get another copy and had no joy so was wonder if any one here might have a copy or know were i can get one. Of coures i will cover any expencess.

The documentry ( ICE BREAKER ) was in a 6 part documentry call red arctic . It was on BBC2 on july 1991. It was about the ice breaker Arktika voyage on the north east passage from Murmansk to Pevek via Dikson and Tiksi.

Wow! That's a long shot but you never know!

What about the specialist marine book shops?
Does anything ever come up on ebay?

( Re: It got accidentally recorded over  .... yep, been there, done that, got the t-shirt!)

Was the BBC a complete dead end?  Is it worth trying again, you may get a better response. or try National Geographic etc?

the BBC wore not any help at all so much for it belonging to joe public well we pay for it. They said i cant get a copy unless i work for the bbc or was involved in the makeing of the film. I have a look and see if the national geographic brought the rights to the flim. cheers john.
