Turb, you got to get a video down there, with the water looking like this it's nigh perfect for video shots!

Hi guys, I have a surface runner of this kit, and another as yet unbuilt.
Can you advise me as to where to start looking at and for.. the electricory inside please.
I note that you are useing 3mm brass rod for your propshafts.... will these not warp ?
I have been advised that White Steel is a better answer... any advice Here
What RX/TX do you run with please   %)
There's always this option:   http://www.caswellplating.com/models/gato.html

FYI. What a build masterclass!  - -  http://www.subpirates.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2056&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&sid=ee5dd31c8a68c5d2a58642a9efabcd24

BTW: I see the kit is about £30 on ebay.... Hmmmmmmm!  ::)

Hi Martin,
I tried your link to the above and it " cant " be found, maybe because it was over a year ago.
Do I need to " Join " Subpirates or can I just look at their stuff ?.
Could you find me the link again please.

Ta very much.

Blast...I had all this stuff saved on a usb storage device,  only deleted it all yesterday. You'll need to join SubPirates to view the stuff, what was it you were particularly interested in? I'll have a ferret about and see if I can download it for you. Beware...there is LOADS of Gato stuff on there....

Hi Rich,
I have just bought the Revell Gato and would welcome any ideas etc.
I have never built a Sub and I want it to be a Static Diver type.

Len.

Get hold of a back copy of Marine Modelling December 07 & read Paul Cook's article on Static Dive Conversion.
Will run on a 4 channel system, no need to get the fronf planes working.
It's fairly easy as sub's go & you will be left with a sub that is easy to sail & very Stable.
I've just sold a WTC for one of these - Pic's on the Sales board -  if you're interested in getting one pm me
Check this site for loads of info on these very popular kits:
