Makes me wonder why I bother, those are superb!

Wish I knew where they got the plans from!

Hi Dan and Ian . Those boats are members of the Off shore society which have very very good links with all the big supply company's. It has taken years for them to build up these links so when a member get plans they are told they they cant copy them and they wont so don't even both asking sorry. That show was there yearly meat it move around Europe each year and some time the big supply company's contribute to it. And yes they do get no holes barred access to the real ships. I think there boats are works of art and it's nice to see the getting there hulls wet.

John,

I had heard about those guys before from a different source, didnt realise they were one and the same!

Here is a pic of the Bourbon Orca in Bergen last year. I took it on the way back to a cruise boat we were on, not realising at the time it was the Orca >>:-(

Dan,

I am hoping that when one does turn up in Aberdeen you will get some pics and post them. I am collecting pics as this thing is my next major build.

I could only imagine it must be hard to get close to anchor-handling vessels in abingdon oxfordshire !!!! {-) {-) {-)

You will be amazed what comes up the Thames and I would be amazed if one of those turned up. No i am doing a ferry for my sins and when i get to either Purflleet or Immingham on work i all ways try and see if she is there and get the odd photo or two.

My next build is a Thames Lighterage Tug, Regain I have over 300 hundred photo's of her from top to bottom and loads of measurements. Cory Environmental run her and I have even got copies of the plans she was built from. Two weeks ago I spent a day on her watching how the lightermen work, very interesting the marine superintendent allows me access toher when she is berthed at Charlton.
