Interesting, I'm thinking of buying this kit myself - as soon as my local hobby shop gets one in stock (they're usually very good at stocking Revell kits) - not a subject/era that interests me greatly, but it looks like a very interesting model nevertheless, I've got quite a collection of 1/200-1/100 scale civil ship/boat models already and this would be an unusual (and colourful) addition to the lineup.
Revell Germany kits are always good value and their newer kits are usually detailed + well moulded, this one looks like more of the same. It's a bit of a shame though that the kit doesn't include a helicopter for the pad - finding a suitable one in 1/200 will be tricky.

I am certainly itching to get hold of this model but need to clear the wifey hurdle first.  ok2

Found this website that has information on the ETV Waker. Think I will get it to convert rc although my 1/72 Airfix Severn Lifeboat is still in the progress of converting to rc; it's just a modeller's habit of never get enough of buying model kits.

I built one of these a few years ago - very heavy model with all the mass up high and a very small hull.

It may be possible to RC it, but I don't do micro modelling.
