Electronics ESC Types
« on: April 07, 2024, 03:26:43 pm »

I have some Electronize ESC that I would like some information about (if possible) please .  They vary in age and type, but all are working (or at least they were the last time I used them!).

I have :-

Type 43HVR and Type 43VR.  Both were used with an inline fuse on previous model tugs but currently don't have a use.  They have a black alloy backplate.

Type FR30HX. I have one of these that still has the inline fuse holder attached.  Cant remember what I used it in, but it is very clean (looks like new) so maybe I prepared it for use but never actually fitted it into anything?.  It has a gold alloy backplate.

Type FR15HVR-AN.  Also with inline fuse holder attached, so I must have used it for something - but I have no idea what! It also has a gold alloy backplate.

I have three NEW in original packs FR30HX. I am guessing these are the newer types.  They have gold alloy backplates

What I would like to know is:-

What is the difference between the 43HVR and the 43VR?

Are they all forward and reverse types?  I see a few Electroize ESC advertised on eBay being advertised as 'forwards only" but I do wonder if the seller has misinterpreted the instruction not reverse the battery connections?

Which ones are most suited for use with a large brushed motor such as the MFA Torpedo 850.

What would be the most suitable type to use on my Sea Queen with a large brushed motor (the same answer as the above?).

Thank you for anyone that can help and identify the above types and their most suitable applications.

Thank you John,

That is a great help as I don't have any instructions for the 43HVR and 43VR.

I am guessing that all of the Electronize ESC  that I have do have a forward and a reverse function?

You are welcome.  There is a relay for reverse and it is best set up so that it is only called when in reverse.
