Fast forward to 1h 32minutes, there were a number of "Holds"

The guidance system made a brilliant recovery though and took it to 34Km before Range Control destroyed it.
However, it was the 6th consecutive fail.

...very interesting. One of the lines I think remember of the film (my book is in a dusty corner) is something like (sic):

Sinden: "are you OK sir"

Hawkins: "no I'm not ...and I don't mind telling you"

Did I remember that right?

...and that's always a scene I think very little other war film has captured since.

...PS normally I can edit any post with Martin in reply after it's posted but this time the window goes all highlighted in Orange? Not seen that before -I can't correct the above into proper quotes etc? Doesn't make any difference between whether the WYSIWIG button is pressed or not?
