Blue toon
« on: August 15, 2006, 01:36:16 pm »

Hi,
anyone know where to get photos or any info of "Blue toon"? I assume that plans are based on real vessel. I'm considering the Blue toon for my first fully scratch buiilt model. Any information is highly appreciated.

Hello all, Harrin yes the real vessel is situated about 40 miles North of me. Peterhead is known locally as the Blue Toon (because of the incessant windand exposure to the North Sea) and this is where this pilot vessel is working. Their link is http://www.peterhead-bay.co.uk/index.htm having looked briefly at the sitre there does not appear to be any photos of their craft. You might like to contact them through the site and see what happens.

cheers
