Some photos of Lennox Head. I took the aerial photos while on a flight in a friend's aeroplane several years ago. The lake (Lake Ainsworth) is fresh water, coloured brown by tea trees.
Peter.

Peter, what a beautiful place, you lucky sod. O0
Unusual to have a freshwater lake so close to the sea. How did nature achieve that?

I live a few miles down the road from Colin Bishop in Surrey U.K.

Just out side Copenhagen in Denmark.  The land of Vikings, Carlsberg, and the highest taxes in Europe!

Basingstoke by any other name would smell as sweet

Snogibasket to anagramists

Boringstoke or Basingjoke, to the unenlightened

Basingestoches to the Domesday Book

B'stoke to road painters

Thatchergrad to socio-political commentators

Interesting thread, seems a good place for my first post here, signing in from Elimäki in Finland, probably famous for something but I have yet to discover what it is!

Thanks, Danny - that's the main road not far from here. The snow won't be falling for a month or two yet, but when it does, it usually stays until April (except for last year when there was none, even at Christmas!).

Currently living in an apartment-type place (sort of a small block of flats, but built next to each other instead of on top of each other, so we have a small garden) but currently negotiating the purchase of a real house in the countryside. The only problem is deciding which of the available out-buildings to convert into a workshop!
