Mini servos
« on: August 12, 2008, 12:09:47 am »

I was looking around at some sites tonite to see if I could find a mini servo to put into my RTTL Vosper. Not really happy with the set-up the way it is and was thinking of doing it the way the chap did his in the ASRL build in the recent issue of Model Boats.
I saw the ones on Ebay, but I don't need 4 of them and have to pay duty from Hong Kong, so if anyone can recommend a reasonably priced one >£10 I'd appreciate it.
Or alternatively, if someone has one sliding around in a drawer....drop me a line.

action are selling atoms (really really small) servos at £8.00, if you know how small a HS55 is (them as well) then they are smaller than them

Robert
If this is your Model Slipway RTTL then the Atom Blue is perhaps a bit too small. HS55 is more what you need. PM me for a special deal.

What size do you need Rem, I'm sure I've got one that should be suitable...

I'm also looking for 4 cheap half size servos for my Bismarck, not micro ones, about 30mm body length - about 16g.....

Martin, you can't go wrong with Cirrus servo's, made using a Futaba servo and a photocopier, I believe in the same factory.

Also on servoshop website

you should have a Hobby Stores or Als Hobbies somewhere near you and purchase a Ripmax SD100 I use them all the time for HLG Gliders forget Hitec servos if you ever strip a gear they are a nightmare for parts  O0

Hitecs are nightmares, got millions of messages on the Ivinghoe Soarers Yahoogroup about them.

As I mentioned before, Cirrus are great, not had one go wrong yet.

Thanks gents . I'll check up on those sites, but I think I still have abit of credit at Action, someone has to support Dave's partiality to fermented apples squeezed in hay. O0
