Looks nicely detailed - could be a platform for more detail?

It's not a bad model and one of the better 'ready to run' models on the market.
The radio is not bad either but some replace the radio with a three channel set and
or use a mixer so as to separate the two motors for better manoeuvrability. Changing
the radio does make this quite an expensive boat. I've seen a few 'done up', a couple
weather the paintwork and some add scale details and fittings.

Thanks for the responses guys  O0

My dad the other day said "I suppose you'll be wanting a model boat for christmas then", gives me plenty of time to start looking  ;)

I can get quite a fair amount off at the local model shop and so can my dad.

Would like something big, although transport is an issue, unless I can nab a garden centre trolley, or one of the ones at B&Q

Looking at a tug, to accompany the one I shall most likely buy off polobeer (Simon), also looking at the Robbe San Diego, but Roland at the club has one. Definately caught the 'Tug Bug' off here (ooh that sounds nasty, should get it checked out  {-) )

Nice yacht. Big! Good negative pulled "Plura" hull with sharp corners but I personally think it's been
superseded  by the more modern yachts, eg:

Kyosho Oracle BMW Racing Yacht
Kyosho Seawind
Kyosho Fortune ReadySet
CENTURY 750
Fly Emirates Americas Cup Yacht
Trueblue Radio Controlled Yacht From Graupner

Depends want you want. There are other boats like the Tamiya 40EX, which are beatifully detailed models of sailing cruisers. Not suitable for racing, but if anyone owns a Contessa they may like this model. I have even seen one with a wooden deck inlaid on to it.
