Superstructure

I have put this thread on here as I couldn't find one entitled Dummy's

I am renovating a tug and have made the superstructure out of plasticard, it consists of the main superstructure, a wheelhouse, a funnel that sits on the main structure and also into the wheelhouse plus a few other bits. It all fits very nicely together, as the 3 main bits are different colours I have sprayed them and am quite pleased with the results. Here comes the embarrassing bit, how can I glue them together, can't use the plasticard glue as the surfaces are painted and I have a feeling that super glue would pull the paint off or wrinkle it  so will I have to wet and dry the paint off to glue it all together.

Perhaps I should stick to making Springers    {-)

I put blocking in mine, so that they can be assembled with screws.
So the deck house can be unscrewed from the deck, and then
the pilot house can be unscrewed and  removed from the deck house, and
the mast slips out of a tube and a pair of plug connections for lighting.

Conversely, assemble the pilot house onto the deck house, then the deck house
onto the deck, then slip the mast into place, And then put the deck on the hull.

Any part can be disassembled and worked on or painted as required.

maybe jently scrape the paint off at the joints, scratch a deep line so one goes into another and put some glue there with a pin or something....
