crazy esc!

in my sub there seems to be a problem.the speed controller when put foreward flat out cuts out,disconnect the battery and then connect back up speed controller works ok,in reverse it doesn't cut out att all,the esc is one from china,you know the type,blue with no markings ect,can anyone out there please help me,its in a sub by the way,is this down to the speed controller or something else,many thanks in advance,dazz ??? :-\ >:(

I would suggest that it is probably the esc cutting out because of overload. When it was working, was full speed astern as fast as full speed ahead? If so, I am probably wrong :(, if not the reason it works in reverse is that it will not meet the esc's max current.

Why its doing this is of course another question! Check for tightness in the prop shaft and linkages.

barrie,thanks for your reply,i have since tried a different esc,an electronize,and it works ok,so it seems it may be down the the other esc i was using,once again thankyou for your reply,dazz
