Two fine looking deep sea salvage tugs.

The 'Arctic' was built in 1970 and modified in 1994.She is now called 'Arctic-P' and is owned by Gary Packer who is Australia's richest man.
He converted the vessel into a very luxurious yacht!See here:

The 'Caribic' is now owned by Black Sea Salvage and managed by Tsalviris, a Greek company. She is pictured here with some news of her activities: http://www.maritimejournal.com/archive101/2008/January/tugs,_towing__and__salvage/tsavliris_longed_for_a_calm_christmas

Talking of tug to yacht conversions, how about these. If you get fed up with the tug mode, well here is something different to do with them.

When you think about it, the tug/yacht conversions appear to be of larger salvage tugs. These are typically high power, strongly built, good roomy sea boats, capable of long passages. What more could the average globetrotting oligarch ask for (apart from fitting all the fancy bits)?
