any one know where i can get one of these ?
 tried making 2 from scratch and i am still not happy with them.... so throwing in the towel........

i'm gonna try and buy one !

a good art or graphics shop should be able to supply a long handled scalpel, the swann morton stand at the warwick show had some a few years ago, part with a few pennies and it was yours, thats where i got mine....

as for the anchor then  maybe its the material, i was usuing acrylic and styrene and plasticard,

 acrylic for the 'shank'  plasticard for the ' blade' and styrene strip for the shakle and the top detail....

 maybe brass is the way to go....may well persevere now, especially as i have seen your handywork- its inspiring !

By the way the one I pictured in its holder was ALL plasticard  ;)
