The dates for the 2009 event have been confirmed..

The event will take place on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August at the above location. Model Boat clubs and traders will also be in attendance. The location offers very good catering facilities, an excellent lake for sailing your models, close by car parking.

Please Note that this show is COMPLETELEY separate and has NO connection with any other show that may be running a mile away on the same weekend.

Please also note, parking for The Model Boat Convention is free and has no time restrictions, however if you do use the carparking facilities at the Birchwood Shopping Centre a mile away be warned that there is a 3hr time limit, after which you may be penalised.

Hi there. Looking forward to meeting old friends at this excellent weekend of model boating. The convention has gone from strength to strength over the last 3 years with a very good venue, great facilities, easy car parking and a very good lake for sailing your models. Will be good to meet and deal with queries from the visiting public and model boaters alike. More details to follow later in the year.

You may need to get a few more subs out there , I believe quite a few warships are heading down from way up north..

Not long now to the Model Boat Convention. I am busy getting my carrier completed - just the final details to fit. Looking forward to meeting up with old friends both at club level and traders also. The list of model clubs and trade support looks very good. If the weather is kind to us again a good weekend should be on the cards. Nice to see some new clubs from Yorkshire attending.
