Does it eat smaller boats to stay alive?

Boat's gotta be fed...  :-))

Agents tracking Red Oktober have managed to deliver a view of the local landscape.

 However, it is still unclear where Red Oktober is sailing.

Ueda-san, our latest agent found a clearing in the clouds.
Location of Red Oktober is confirmed. Locals are friendly.

Come on Umi, when you see Red eating Swans pick him up and make him spit them out. They make him ill  :}

It is good to see him 'Swanning around'  %)

It's the "Kami-swan" on the lake that is the real issue.  %)

An exhausted carrier pigeon has arrived with pictures of a meeting with far eastern supply ship disguised as Victorian steamship. Conformation that current location is indeed Japan.  Speculation about radio controlled mechanical swans and fake news photos of mount  Fujiyama are unfounded.

The crew swapped Red Olga`s famous red jacket for a couple of bottles of good  scotch whisky, the local saki was not to their liking. Russian vodka was not an option.

Long range pigeon U2 returned with pictures of  Japanese Ninja turtles attempt to board Red October. An escape was effective and heading was determined to be an area renowned for cherry blossom festival at this time of year, maybe hoping for some good saki.

The famous Japanese cherry blossom is early this year and caught out Red Oktober`s black colour while trying to hide in an orchard.  Suggestions to paint the craft pink as camouflage were rejected by the crew to the point of mutiny ! Two crew members  abstained. %)

I`m sure Mr Putin knows about this.  During a visit to ST Petersburg during a Baltic trip the courier only allowed a photo shoot in the port.

Co-opted into the Japanese National Defense Force and flying the Naval Ensign , the crew of Red Oktober are getting used to rice and fish diet, they infiltrated a defense facility only to find that HMS Sutherland was already there. No doubt M had been informed of this dangerous maneuver. Photos when Robo-pigeon recovers from long flight...batteries need recharged.

Great photos - location is ideal there.

We were hoping to get Red a visit to our Canadian sub but it didn't work out.

Interesting to see where it travels to next.

Yes it is pretty comprehensive article but red Oktober is the only the only model boat in the magazine, apart from an ad showing an air-boat.  The title in red on the cover is repeated in English under the Japanese characters , Radio Control Technique.  The whole R/C scene is covered with articles on just about everything , with the domestic modelling scene and slope soaring in Europe covered. Safety and design,engine lists, drones, airfoils etc as well as events are much the same style as European magazines . It is a hefty tome at 178 pages on good quality paper. Lots of advertisements similar to most magazines but maybe some clues to what is coming next to us.  I don't know the cost per issue , Ithink it may be monthly as there is a 5 and 2018 on the cover.  They have a Facebook page  http://www.facebook.com?radiocontroltech  which no doubt will have you on some sort of government list in Asia and elsewhere  %)     Mr Ueda Yuichi, the current holder of Red O , kindly sent me a copy of the magazine. The hunt is now on for a translator , Loch Ness seems like a good stake-out place now that the tourist season is upon us.  Where the renegade is going to turn up next is anybody`s guess.
