I made Paladin a couple or three years ago at the St Albans Model show. 90% complete in 2 8 hour days. Took it home painted it and took it done the lake two weeks later! Had a jr perkins 380 motor with a 30mm prop running on 6 volt 1.2amp battery. went like stink and was called a menace. Since then every time I put her on the water everyone vacates the lake!!!
I have had it 80% submerged while running parallel with a Happy Hunter, have taken out the main gun on flower class corvette, broadsided a small tug, been sunk twice by the Happy hunter with no damage to the boat.
The only damage that was done to the Paladin was when doing a small overhaul on the motor and I dropped it and smashed the whole of one sided, so she is now in dry dock being repaired, weighed down with a new bottom hull, side and a new johnson motor. (yes you saw it correctly!). Sea trials will begin soon!!!
