one of those days...

Do you ever have one of ‘those’ days?

Came home from work, and got straight onto the job of washing my ‘smalls’…hung them out to dry, and then watched as the line unclipped itself from the window frame and fell down one floor into the muddy wet mess that we call a garden, taking my clean undies with it….
’gosh and bother it’ I said….

Having rescued and rewashed everything, it was down to the serious business of submarine modelling. I spent an entertaining half an hour making up the two retractable crew safety deck rails, soldering them together, drilling the fixing holes and then epoxying them into position. ‘ A job well done’ I thought to myself…then realised that I’d fitted them on the port side and not the starboard side where they should be.
‘gosh and bother it’ I said….

Having sorted that little problem out, I unpacked a parcel that was waiting for me…..it was the Fleet radio I’d bought off ebay to control U-33. Got everything out of the box, put it together, and as I was plugging the servos into the receiver, I noticed the orange label stuck on the front panel. 35mhz it said….
‘gosh and bother it’ doesn’t begin to cover what I said….

And now I’ve just burnt my finger stubbing out a cigarette….I’m going to bed.

The one thing you did wrong was re-washing those undies, you could have got at least another weeks use out of them!

Ah Rich - there's always a simple solution to everything if you look for it -

1.  Don't re-wash smalls, just pretend that the big stains are actually mud!
2. Don't refix the rails - just turn the model round!
3. Buy a cheap glider off Ebay and strap the wings to your sub - that way you can use 35Mhz!
4. Stub your cigs out in an ashtray instead of on your finger!

Any more problems - just tell your mates on Mayhem  O0 O0 {-) {-) {-)

Well, you could always give up smoking, but then again I like being a minority! Employed, foreign and having a disgusting habit.

At least it's started off better today....been to work, did an hour and got paid for four, so that was a good start. And I'm still dry...

Undies...sod washing 'em, I'll nip in the pound market and buy a some new ones.

I've managed to drill out four flood holes and the exhaust vent without drilling holes in the wrong places, or stabbing my finger with the drill...I even managed to get the vent liner installed without superglueing my fingers to the hull.

"Happy days are here again....tra la la la"   {-)

i was referring to his smoking, being Canadian gives me the right to pack up anytime the government gets just a tad to ridiculous, which is not too far down the road, course, could always just keep a smaller place here in the box of clotted cream toffees, the pubs are not bad and we have palm trees,  {-) {-) {-)
