My greeting for everybody.
I build a Russian motor torpedo-boat produced around 1918 now.

I found this single drawing unfortunately, only from him, but enough were this much for a departure.

The beginnings. :-)

A part of the ribs got to a cutting already here.

The yesterday evening state.

The body obtains his grounding, his polishing in the morning today, and may be beginning the heavy.
Since this ship is tree originally building was, in this manner the armour subsequently riveted, concerned screwed.
Will be with what to fiddle today, but I do not regret it.
I found a beauty in an alley.
Osztrák Magyar Monarchia MAROS name the model of his monitor.
Harm that only this it one successful, but I investigate yet, drawn very instructive one.

My greeting, and good work for everybody.

Elf Daddy :-)

A freelance tug (started new thread today under Working Boats), and Rainbow yacht thats been gathering dust past couple of months. Must finish it!
Plus this paddle steamer which for some reason I have grown to dislike.

Hi All, Well I started the Mincio at the weekend. So far so good. I seem to be doing everything except starting the planking. I wonder why Martin? This little gem has two layers of planking. The first of a soft wood which is then coated with tissue and sealed before applying the final hard wood mahogany planking. Cheers Graham.

Well despite the cold weather, having fitted out the HMS Ceasar with all the basic running gear, I could not resist taking it for 'sea trials' on Sunday morning. Having first checked out the basics in the bath and even with two 7AH batteries it is still high on the water. I reckon it will need a crane to lift the finished article into the lake. Anyway it went well turned nicely and had good turn of speed. I did notice it had a long stopping time though with all that weight. Cheers Graham

I just started on this  :-))
Its taken me three days to reduce the sheets of printed parts to two piles of bits :D

I may not fit the supplied crane (still undecided on that)

Also changing drives on Tito Neri  >>:-(

I broke one while ice breaking so now I am fitting fixed shafts and steering kort's

It will give me time to repair the damage from the water ingress. >>:-(

I have put my Joffre on the back burner for the moment and I am converting a Lucky XI ARTR tug from Deans into Scuffy The Tugboat. This is a Book that I had many, many years ago. I have binned most of the superstructure and built a new wheel house, funnel etc. The funnel is from a No-More Nails tube, the rest from Plastiard. It won't be an exact reproduction of the book character, as I am modelling Scuffy after he grew up......... :D.......Smudge

Hi MCAT,

How big a barge are you making? will you be able to put it "on the hip" or just bridal tow.

I will be constructing a working winch to tow of, so I will have to alter the deck to take the strain.
The trouble I have is I set out to build this as is, but know I will want as much gizmo's as I can get I have even considered putting fire monitors, working crane working Norman Pins smoke sounds etc etc I just get carried away, where do you stop?
It will have to have "grunt" as I think there will be a Al Kub to have a tug of war with :}
I have not cut the center out of the deck sheet yet, it just seemed a very large area to have removable? and I have thought about just some smaller access's for the rudder posts and motors. this would give me a fixed H post just behind the tow winch in which the winch could be braced against.
Non of this is in construction as yet but just on the "drawing board stage"

I am not one for towing from the kit's hooks as I managed to tear the Tito Neri's hook off the deck even though I had modified it to be a little stronger, her winch's are Strong enough to lift T N off the floor.

Ill be putting pictures etc up on the forum

I'll keep you all posted on this build

Hello, my name is Lothar and i am a new fan of this wonderfull forum.
I am working at an old steamer in 1/32 scale. Its shall be a typical tramp steamer of the beginning 20th century.
I don't have any plans and this ship dont has a real example. It is similar in design of the steamer Venture of the King Kong movie.

regards from Germany, Lothar

I have no idea how to show pictures here, but if you interested in my work, here is a link to my build blog in my german forum
