mini tools

(1/1)

Bee:
Has anyone used the mini tool range from Hobbies?

Particularly the sander - is it a mild version of the mains ones or 'wouldn't take the skin off a rice pudding'.

barriew:
Not used those specific ones, but the similar Proxxon range are very good for modelling - you don't want mains power, unless you are building very large models ;D

bosun:
Hy Bee,
I have the Mini tools jigsaw and it works on the same twelve volt transformer as Proxxon, I find that excellent ,the rest of my gear is Proxxon and I have just bought their Pencil Sander, great for all those little nooks and crannies, I have,nt tried the Mini tools Sander but I would imagine that it would be a good bit of kit.
Cheers
Bosun

Bee:
Thanks all. Having a browse of Proxxon.

tigertiger:
One issue I had with minitools is the circular saw.

Minitools - price 60 quid approx 9cheapish). Max cut 6mm (only 6mm)
Proxxon - price 240quid (dear). Max cut depth 25mm (approx)
