Building a 12-channel multiswitch for Futaba F-14 transmitter
« on: September 08, 2008, 12:39:46 pm »

Hello everybody,

This weekend I finished my 12-channel multiswitch for the Futaba F-14 transmitter.
The plans and design are not my own but the come from a German named Claus. His site provides all the info you need to make a switch like mine.
http://home.arcor.de/claus.poltermann/ms12/ms12.html

With some guys of my club we ordered the needed parts and we let somebody make the prints for us. The PICīs came from the designer and he also programmed them for us (thanks!)

Here some pictures of the parts

And testing.... At first I had some problems with two leds but that was due to my crappy soldering. Now everything works fine

The original Futaba,Graupner and other multiswitch units were introduced prior to the software embedded chips used in this design.
I hope Mr. Claus has improved on the original decoders which are very prone to badly misfiring on the slightest radio glitch.
