supplier of custom brass props?
« on: September 08, 2008, 06:18:43 pm »

Who's the man for making brass props nowadays guys? I used to get mine from a chap called Radestock (I think that's how his name is spelt)
I need one of these little babies (see attached image) making up for U-33...any ideas/info?

Cheers,

Rich

What's wrong with the white metal version supplied with the kit?

Simon at prop shop will cast anything you like, at a price. The main cost is making a green wax mould.

Nothing wrong with it at all Andy, I just figured that a brass one would be a lot stronger than the white metal one. I have this habit of backing up into things...

Very nearly the same but different ends. No doubt one could be modified though...thanks DickieD

I reckon that at least George Sitek would be better at answering any e-mails or queries?

The 'b' type looks right to me, or very very close- http://deansmarine.co.uk/shop/index.php/cPath/35_39_45_76

The dunce cap is wrong though. No big deal, file it down and attach the one supplied in the kit or spin up a new one from brass.
