Hey Dan.
I have to go over to see Tug Kenny tomorrow, I will drop off a Springer hull, with motor /shaft/prop, the topsides are there but you will have to finish it off to what you want

hi bosun,

i didnt realise that it was you talking to ken at the cwmbran open day otherwise i would have came and sed hi, and thats very kind of you, hopefully oneday ill have my own fleet of springers. i was thinking of basing one of them on my al khubar tug (that was suggested by tug kenny) and naming it something along the lines of "Al Springer"  {-)

If we ever get her bottom stuck on, we'll call her 'Allah'.

I never realised the forces involved in curving plywood.  :embarrassed:    I'm glueing  2 inches a day, to force it around the curve with G clamps.

You must be useing 1/8",  one sixteenth would do fine easy to follow curves.

You are correct Arrow5. I'm using 3.6 mm and it's quite stiff.

Have succeeded with the clamping and now have two new Springers.

Dan,
I have two boats from Bosun, delivered today. I have taken some snaps to whet your appetite. Please see pictures below, as one has a motor and servo and rudder, and the other is a Pusher tug of larger dimensions with no innards, so you should be well on your way. Do you still need one of mine, or can I make something for myself?

So then, another Springerlong!

I think it's the first stepped deck version I have seen.
Looks good.
