This is another of Steve's kits, and is a bit easier to assemble than the USS Blueback described earlier.

This one is in 1/96th scale, mine came as a set of two fibreglass mouldings for the hull and deck, a cast resin sail with all the panel lines scribed on, a set of cast resin periscopes and appendages, cast resin dive vanes and rudders, two different white metal props and tails, a series of white metal castings for the retractable bollards, the required linkages for the X-tails ,a beautifully cast radio direction finder and a photo CD.

Although the model has a X-tail rudder set up and can be awkward to set up in the limited space available, it does eventually all go together. A mixer (either electronic or mechanical) will be required to get the rudders and vanes to operate properly.

No ballast system is supplied with the kit and you will need to make or buy your own WTC.

24" long x 2.5" beam.
