Now now Guy,

We could end up with history repeating itself......regional wars all over the place and that would be a shame as we all know that the red rose will win.. O0

Lets see, oh yes, Man City 6 - Portsmouth 0, oh and dont forget Chelsea 4 - Portsmouth 0 and that was only the last two matches. {-)

No thanks I'll stay where I am thanks its nearer a decent lake. O0

Thing is, I'M ENGLISH. I moved up here 15 years ago from the north of England.

Apologies for utterly highjacking this otherwise fine and poignant thread.

Red or white rose? Ah...you're confusing me with those in Yorkshire and Lancashire in the Midlands. I'm from Cumbria, originally. Truly north.  ;D

And the ol' Dreadnought came to Scotland many times: Scapa and Loch Ewe - it's fitting mine gets a float on the water up here. Preferably while I'm still around to see it. Must get on with planking.  :'(

Wow lads, that touched a nerve of two!
Only just read through the responses as I have been dismantling my secure area and moving it to the tip.
I did however get the chance to book a holiday and finish a set of deck scuttles of which I an quite proud and Sunday is our club's bring and buy - so all in all retirement is off to a good start. There has however been a fleeting reference to a domestic job list.

Thanks,
Keith.
