I just want to show you my modified Kyosho Fortune. She has a new design and a tuned rig from www.stockmaritime.com. The sails are in shape of the 2005 Americas Cup Sails. I hope to get her on the water in May, it will be very funny...  ;) Size is 610 mm x 140 mm x 1100 mm, scale 1:40.

That looks like it may make a fine sailing companion to the RG65 or even the Micro Magic. Is a standard servo enough for sail control or have you fitted something bigger?

Hi Martin,

its a standart servo, i think it will be not strong enough. But first i want to give it a try. I can tell you more in May ;)

A Micro Magic sails for her small size very good and much better then a unmodified Fortune. Next thing to chance is the sail mast to cfk.

Jan is right, the Fortune is an eye catcher, but a poor performer, the Micro Magic sails circles around it.

Hello Jan,

thats why i bought the Fortune, the MM is not my kind. I hope the new sails (lightwindsails this far, middlewindsails will follow) and the different tuning rig making her a better performer.

 ;)

I agree with you on the 'looks'of the MM, I also am not fond of the nervous behaviour these small hulls have.
That's why I got myself an Thunder Tiger Voyager (1M) which sails more like the real thing.

Regards, Jan.
