Hi all
« on: September 23, 2008, 11:07:51 pm »

Hi all, my names lee and im new to this hobby. Me and a friend have both just brought a Rtr speedboat thing to mess around with and brushless up for a laugh. However i also got 2 models from my grandad to restore (and convert the other to ep) and im really enjoying it tbh!

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what boat its a scale model of? and also the scale? Ive been told a Picasa (spelling?) or Vosfa? - However if someone could give me a boat name i can google and see some colour pictures to see what she should look like.

I dare say ill be around alot with random questions but thanks for now

Lucky lad, your grandfather is a craftsman, the vessel you have is a Vosper Perkasa as seen on the link. There are many kits available, but yours seems to be a wooden hull, enjoy and you'll get all the info on here to kit her out.

To give you the scale we need to know the size of the model. ie length overall and width. O0

the model is 52" long and 12" wide

i do also have another one that i need to convert from nitro to electric this one is 37" long, but that ones on the back burner until i have the big one looking the part.

The scale works out at 1:22.15 as the Perkasa was 96 foot long .

1:24 is near enough.  O0
