Hi

ive posted in the newbie section and thanks for the replys so thought id let you all see how my boats coming on in a few posts:

it started out after being given it by my grandad after it had been in his loft for quite some time.

Its 52" long and 12" wide (if i'm measuring it in the right places)

First job was to try and clean it up so i could see what needed doing, as you can see several bits had been broken off while in storage

i then reattached the rudder, just need a dob of solder now to fix it a little better

then i broke out the paint to try and smarten her up a bit

also glued up the broken parts

Now just going do some last painting tonight, but not entirely sure what the boxes in the next pic are suppose to be? so dont know which colour to paint it? - any ideas?

going to do the deck green as everyone ive seen on the net has a green deck.

They are storage lockers and the round ones are the lift rafts, and should be the colour you've done them.

also the front of the torp's should be yellow.

I'm nitpicking your paint scheme hehe

So they should stay the grey?

ohh yellow, i thought it was the back bits that should be red, went and got a pot of red paint after work and everything!  ::) DOH!

need get a thinner brush to tidy up them box things as i cant get the lines for the black and white straight.

You'll need the red for other bits

Very good for reference

You need more black onthe bottom of the boat, it should come partway up the sides.

If you read through these postings it will tell you how to do it.

Looks like your vessel has some legs already {-). But seriously, if she were mine, I'd re-paint the hull, the waterline seems out in the pictures. But the probably can wait, do some research first as to the vessel type, use, role and machinery/weaponary. There were many MTBs riding the waves back in the 40s and 50s, so its best to know what you have. And with that knowledge you'll be more confisdent in how to kit her out.
Still jealous, nice boat O0

Looks like a Perkasa/Brave Borderer type by the superstructure, and exhausts, but 4" too long for the usual kit. The fore gun looks further fwd that the Perkasa, - and where's the aft gun gone?  Is the motor still in it?

Its most definately a Perkasa, one of the late models with the Bofors 40mm gun, with standard mounting.
