Futaba 6EX 2.4 GHz 6 Channel ratchet

Can some one show me where to get the bits and pieces to make the throttle stick spring back to zero instead of the ratchet thing which the flying boys use.

Cheers!

Gary, try giving Ripmax a call as they specialise in this radio.

Get your LHS to order the pingy thing in, I think Bill still has one on order from a while ago, but when you do get it its just a case of changing the ratchet arm over to pingy thing arm and spring.

I fly model planes with mine, and found the ratchet a bit too stiff, so i got a softer one. I do quite like the ratchet, as otherwise I would end up with a big spikey cutout in my thumb.

I also found the sticks too sharp, especially on freezing cold days at the field, so a file quickly sorted that out, just a hint....

I am new to 2.4GHz having used Futaba 40MHz radios up to now and want to buy the Futaba 6EX for my current build. I have used a 4 channel Skysport and used a ratchet conversion mod. I have seen the 6EX radios identified by "M1" or "M2" which I think relates to which stick has the ratchet. Can anybody confirm this? or do I need to buy the ratchet conversion?

M2 (or mode 2) has the throttle on the left vertical stick (although it may not be a ratchet).
The Futaba conversion 'spring clip' is available from most suppliers.
